Keeping Kids Entertained During Cold Months

It can be easy during the winter months to go a little stir-crazy from being stuck inside with no where for the kid’s energy to go! That is why I try to prepare in advance so when the time comes around I have some ideas; I am going to share all of the products, tips, and tricks to staying sane this winter!

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Being active is natural instinct for kids and it is so important! It promotes physical, mental, and social development. Here are some products I recommend having in your home to allow for fun physically active play!

Arts & Crafts

Allowing for kids to be creative is a great way to encourage curiosity and enables them to think outside of the box. Creativity fosters cognitive and emotional development, builds problem-solving skills, and teaches them resilience.

Games & Puzzles

Cognitive skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and memory are all enhanced by allowing kids to play a variety of games and by doing puzzles!

Stories

Both reading and listening to stories helps to expand kid’s vocabulary and enhance concentration and imagination. Hearing different stories also fosters empathy and increases emotional intelligence!

Staying sane through the winter months is possible! Kids seem to have endless energy at times so it feels better when I am prepared with activities to fill our time and have fun! There are more products linked HERE that I highly recommend!
